Pre-Conference Meeting on Legislation on Homosexuality

On Sunday, February 21st from 3:00-5:30pm at Lombard Community of Christ, Apostle Ron Harmon will be leading a discussion on legislation regarding homosexuality.  These can be found amidst legislation G1-26.  For these items, click HERE or copy and paste this address into your internet browser: http://www.cofchrist.org/wc2010/legislation/index.asp.

The purpose of this gathering is for delegates of World Conference to ask questions and clarify theological, scriptural, policy, and missional aspects of legislation on homosexuality, as well as share perspectives.  Friends and members of Community of Christ and Chicago Mission Center are welcome to attend and participate.  Note, however, that the purpose of the meeting is for delegate discussion.  If full participation of friends and members limit or overwhelm our time together, moderators will prioritize delegate questions and questions in our discussion.

Come prepared for worship, reflection, and discernment together.  All who participate are strongly encouraged to spend time with the Community of Christ resource, Yearning for God.   This resource on discernment is available at the Community of Christ website by clicking the link above or typing this address into your internet browser:  http://www.cofchrist.org/discernment/YearningForGod.pdf

Apostle Harmon looks forward to seeing you there.

Seek Ye First,

Matt Frizzell, Chicago Mission Center President
